Magog townships proprietor's letter and deed of sale, 1785-1786.

Letter dated 3/23/1785 recording the sale of a tract of land east of Lake Memphremagog from Joseph Wooster of Derby, Connecticut to Lemeul Nichols of Waterbury, Connecticut. Written and signed by both men on either side of the letter. Letter dated 11/10/1786 written by Jospeh Whitlow, a surveyor employed by Benjamin Davis, to the proprietors of the Memphremagog townships describing the condition of the land between the west lines of Lewis and Averill and Lake Memphremagog. A financial statement with an "Account of rights in the 6 Magog Townships paid of Capt G. Nichols - March 1785".
